The Six Pillars

Six dimensions. One definitive score.

G

Governance

33 Questions

The foundation of maritime safety. We assess flag state compliance, ISM/ISPS certification status, and the vessel's standing with its classification society — ensuring the regulatory framework protecting everyone on board is intact and current.

Example Questions
Is the vessel classed by an IACS member society?
Is there a current Document of Compliance?
Are all flag state statutory certificates valid?
T

Technical

32 Questions

A comprehensive evaluation of the vessel's physical condition and operational systems. Hull integrity, machinery maintenance, fire and safety systems, navigation equipment — every component that keeps a yacht seaworthy and safe is examined.

Example Questions
When was the last hull survey?
Are fire detection systems tested monthly?
Is the EPIRB registered and in-date?
C

Crew

20 Questions

The human element is often the most critical factor in maritime safety. We verify crew qualifications, training records, and medical readiness — ensuring the people responsible for your safety are properly certified and prepared.

Example Questions
Do all officers hold valid STCW certificates?
Is there a documented crew training schedule?
Are medical supplies audited quarterly?
X

Experience

18 Questions

Beyond safety, we evaluate the quality of the guest experience. From climate control and cabin standards to housekeeping protocols and water toy safety — the tangible measures that separate exceptional charters from ordinary ones.

Example Questions
Are guest cabins climate-controlled independently?
Is there a documented housekeeping protocol?
Are water toys inspected before each use?
E

Environment

13 Questions

Responsible yachting is no longer optional. We assess waste management, emissions practices, and sustainability commitments — measuring how well a vessel minimizes its environmental impact while operating at sea.

Example Questions
Is there an approved garbage management plan?
Are sewage treatment systems operational?
Is fuel consumption monitored and logged?
S

Social

10 Questions

A yacht is only as good as its treatment of crew. We examine working conditions, fair treatment policies, and welfare provisions — because the people who make every charter possible deserve proper protections and respect.

Example Questions
Are crew rest hours documented per MLC?
Is there a written anti-harassment policy?
Do crew have access to independent grievance channels?
